“During the PSL, the way the Indian companies and the government treated Pakistan cricket… after that, we can’t tolerate that IPL is shown in Pakistan,” Fawad Chaudhry ( information minister of Pakistan) told a Pakistan news channel.
Although none of the Pakistani players have been the part of IPL since its second edition, 30% of the total viewership of IPL was from Pakistan. due to this incident, broadcasters are extremely worried because they all are well aware of the importance of broadcasting the events in Pakistan. There is a possibility of losing revenue of approximately 3 crore INR due to this ban.
So here the Question arises, will BCCI be able to earn the same amount of revenue without Pakistani viewership as they have earned in last 3 editions.
